Flood help could be on the way to NE Iowa

Lieutenant Governor Sally Pederson toured northeast Iowa flood damage today.Pederson toured parts of Cedar Falls which were flooded by last Fridaynight’s downpour.Pederson says sometime in the next week, some action should come on requeststo designate the area a government disaster zone, setting in motion theprocess of qualifying flood-struck residents for grants and low interestloans.Waterloo’s chapter of the American Red Cross estimates at least 230 homeswere flooded in Black Hawk County. The Lieutenant Governor made other stopstoday in Mason City, Osage and Grundy Center.
