Charge dropped, charge added against ISU football players

An assault charge against one Iowa State University football player isdropped, after another I-S-U player confesses to the crime. 21-year-old senior wide receiver Damien Groce (gross) was arrested Tuesdayafter being accused of hitting a 17-year-old student in the face. Anotherfootball player, 20-year-old junior fullback Jerome Heavens, came forwardand confessed to the assault. Heavens has been charged with simple assault.He’ll appear in court later this month.
