Gore wins Christie Vilsack’s endorsement

Vice President Al Gore picked up the endorsement of Iowa first lady ChristieVilsack today during a stop in Council Bluffs. Gore, a democrat, is on acampaign swing through the state today.Gore addressed the current farm crisis in his speech, saying the Freedom toFarm Act may have to be modified to meet the problems of the current farmcrisis. Gore and Vilsack did not take questions from reporters. Gore is inDes Moines this afternoon and Cedar Rapids tomorrow.
