Davenport mayor helps save drowning victim

A Davenport man saved from drowning by Davenport Mayor Phil Yerington andanother man is now out of the hospital. 54-year old Robert Berry was spotted at the bottom of the swimming pool athis apartment complex. Yerington also lives at the apartment and helpadminister CPR to the man. Yerington served on the Davenport policedepartment for 25 years before becoming mayor, and says the CPR training hereceived in that job helped him save Berry’s life.
