August 10, 1999 By admin

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is asking the public to be moreaggressive in reporting fish kills. Recent kills in Lake Delhi near Manchester went unreported for several weeks. D-N-R spokesman MickKlemesrud says you need to use good judgement in determiningthere is a problem.Klemesrud says the quicker a kill is reported, the sooner investigators candetermine the cause. He says to report any suspicious kill to a DNR office or local lawenforcement authorities.Klemesrud says residents in the area of Lake Delhi had noticed dead fishperiodically and didn’t report them until a larger kill was reported.
