Grain storage already getting attention

Farmers and grain elevator operators are keeping a close eye on how muchstorage space will be available for this year’s harvest. Cerro Gordo CountyExtension Director Darwin Miller says there’s still a lot of surplus grainin the bins from last year.Miller says producers need to make regular checks on when and where storagespace might be available.Miller says it’s a good idea for farmers to make back-up plans.He says this year’s corn yields could be as high as last year’s level,though he’s still not sure about soybeans.
