The transition is over and new Iowa football coach Kirk Ferentz is ready tobeing preparations for his first season on the sideline. Ferentz takes overfor long-time coach Hayden Fry and says he is looking forward to hitting thepractice field.The offense has the most question marks though Ferentz feels that unit haspotential.After a 3-8 season in 1998 and the ensuing coaching change little isexpected from the Hawkeyes this Fall. Ferentz says they have to rememberthat pre-season rankings are guesses and not based on results.Ferentz says they have set no goals for the number of victories they wouldlike or think they can achieve this season. Ferentz says the goal right nowis to get better every day.
