Families get farm safety training

Farm families from across the nation are wrapping up a week of trainingat the 3rd annual Ag Families U-S-A at Northeast Iowa Community College inPeosta. Program coordinator Charlotte Halvorsen says the event is designedto teach universal farm safety techniques.Halvorsen says organizers of the program like to work with small groups whenperforming the hands-on training.She says the college came up with the idea for hosting the event after agroup of people in the ag industry complained about a lack of farm safetytraining.The program winds up today.
