Foreign ambassadors visit Iowa

Dignitaries from 46 nations are visiting Iowa as part of a five-day bus tourthat’s taking them to high-tech factories, family farms and the State Fair.While in Webster City Tuesday, Swiss Ambassador Alfred Defago (dee-FAH-go)says he’s impressed by what he’s seen so far.Chan Hang Chee is the U-S Ambassador from Singaporesays she feels very welcome in the midwest and in our nation.The group visited the Frigidare Home Products plant and the Beam vacuumcleaner plant in Webster City. Other cities on the tour include: Ames,Johnston, Iowa Falls, Fort Dodge, Eagle Grove, Conrad, Homestead, CedarRapids, Newton, Pella, Grinnell, the Amanas, Des Moines.
