Iowa colleges rank high in new report

A national magazine has ranked a handful of Iowa universities and one onIowa’s western border among the tops in the Midwest. U-S News and World Report ranks Creighton University in Omaha first and DrakeUniversity in Des Moines second in its list of Top Midwestern Universities. The University of Northern Iowa is ranked 18th. The magazine’s analysis oftop Midwestern Public Universities lists U-N-I in the number two position onTHAT list. A separate ranking of the Midwest’s Liberal Arts Colleges placesSimpson College in eighth place and Dordt College in 17th. Simpson is inIndianola. Dordt College is in Sioux Center.
