A big incoming freshman class will leave some students at the Iowa StateUniversity in Ames waiting for a dorm room. ISU Residence Director, RandyAlexander, says four-thousand new students are moving to campus thisweekend.Alexander says there are about 180 students who could end up in temporaryhousing until rooms become available. The University has renovated dormrooms in the past few years to add things to draw students. Alexander saysthe latest example is Maple Hall, which opens up after all of the rooms werechanged.Alexander says Maple Hall can handle 488 students and they had requests from12-hundred. ISU’s fall semester starts Monday.
