Anyone trying to fly out of Iowa’s largest airports this morning mayencounter a few delays — and cancellations. The domino effect is carrying over from yesterday’s problems in Chicago.A man bolted past a security checkpoint at O’hare Airport and vanished in thecrowd. He was never found but the search shut down two terminals, cancelledmore than 120 flights and forced the evacuation of six-thousand passengers. The slow-downs continue today. The Des Moines, Cedar Rapids and Quad Cityairports report some flights into and out of Chicago are being cancelled ordelayed. Officials recommend Iowa fliers call their airlines before headingto the terminal to double-check that their flights are still on-schedule.
