Iowa Coach not ready to give up on season

The 1-3 Iowa football team is coming off a 49-3 loss to Michigan State andthings don’t get any better with second-ranked Penn State coming to townSaturday. But, Coach Kirk Ferentz says he’s not going to give up on theseason just yet. He says the team still has seven games to improve.Ferentz says while a big loss is frustrating, it doesn’t keep the team fromcontinuing to pursue its goals.He was asked if his team feels the same way.The Hawkeyes have failed to generate much offense this season, but Ferentzsays he’s not ready to sign a bunch of junior college players as a quickfix. Penn State comes into Saturday’s game 5-0.
