One of the nation’s top money managers says the U-S economy continues tooutpace expectations. Michael Moskow, the President and C-E-O of theFederal Reserve Bank of Chicago, spoke this morning in Des Moines.Moskow says the Midwest economy is healthy, partly because manufacturingindustries are running near capacity.Moskow says the current strength of the Midwest economy is even more amazingwhen compared with the early 1980s.Iowa’s unemployment rate is now two-point-seven percent. Moskow made hisremarks at the Governor’s Iowa Industry Conference in Des Moines.
