A southwest Iowa high school has ended its varsity football season early.Officials at East Union of Afton say the 35 players on the team are mostlyfreshmen or sophomores and they’re afraid the players may get hurt. High school principal Steve Barber says the decision does not mean the endof varsity football at East Union.Barber says many other school’s the size of East Union are facing the sameproblems with numbers.
