President agrees to help imprisoned former Iowan

President Clinton promises to get involved in the case of a former Iowannow jailed in the Republic of Georgia. Loren Wille (willy) is held on avehicular manslaughter charge after being involved in a car crash thatkilled a Georgian national. Iowa Senator Tom Harkin says President Clintontold him in a letter he’ll see that Wille gets due process.Wille originally lived in the Cedar Rapids area & still has family there. Hewas in Georgia working for Catholic Relief Services. Harkin says evidenceindicates the accident was not his fault and he expects Wille to be freed.Harkin says it’s possible Wille will be home by Christmas.
