November 2, 1999 By admin

The Fayette County Attorney has filed more charges against the mother of an Oelwein man serving life in prison for murder. County Attorney Wayne Saur has charged 51-year-old Pam Sawvel with obstructing prosecution. Sawvel is accused of washing a bloody t-shirt her son was alledgedly wearing when he killed a Fayette County farmer. Her son, Jeff Sawvel, is serving a life prison term for the murder. Pam Sawvel is already on probation for alledgedly trying to smuggle drugs to her son in prison. The trial on the latest charge is set for December.
