Marker honors Ronald Reagan’s place in Des Moines

An historic marker has been dedicated in Des Moines to honor former President Ronald Reagan. Kevin Flagg, director of the Reagan Historical project of Iowa, says the marker is five-feet wide.The marker stands at 4th and Court in Des Moines. That’s near where Reagan lived when he was a sports broadcaster on W-H-O Radio. Flagg says the ceremony was scheduled for yesterday for a reason.Reagan’s policies are credited with helping to bring down the Berlin Wall and ending the dominance of communism in Eastern Europe. Flagg raised 60-thousand dollars for the monument.
