International competition returns to ISU

November 12, 1999 By admin

An international problem solving competition is coming back to Iowa State University with a new name. I-S-U spokesperson Mara (mare-uh) Benson says the competition called “Destination Imagination” is sponsored by the O-M Association. Students are asked to find unique solutions to problems. She says seven thousand participants will take over the Ames campus. Benson says parents and chaperones will push the number of people attending the competition to 15-thousand. This competition is similar to three other contests held in Ames called the “Odyssey of the Mind.”The event is scheduled for May 25-28th in Ames.
