Iowa septuplets on national tv again

November 17, 1999 By admin

The McCaughey septuplets were seen by a national television audience last night. A Dateline N-B-C “exclusive” featured the Carlisle family. Bobbie McCaughey discussed the health problems of two of the septuplets, Nathan and Alexis, who have cerebral palsey. She said they knew the two weren’t as far along as the others. McCaughey says she denied it until the doctors actually said it and she cried.Alexis and her sister Natalie are nourished primarily through tube feeding, although both are learning to eat.A C-D entitled “Sweet Dreams” has been released. The profits from the album of lullabys will be split between the McCaugheys and their charity for needy families who have big “multiple” births. Kenny McCaughey says it’s more blessed to give than receive. The four boys and three girls will turn two on Friday.
