Anti-abortion group gets innitial approval for building in Davenport

December 7, 1999 By admin

A Quad City anti-abortion group is one step closer to building a facility across the street from the Planned Parenthood clinic which opens Thursday. The Bettendorf City Council last night gave tentative approval to plans by the Life and Family Coalition for the proposed education center. A final vote will be taken tonight. The police department is bracing for a large protest Thursday outside the new clinic where abortions will be offered.
