Jesup reaches agreement with former cop over training pay

The City of Jesup has struck a deal with a former police officer who left the town for a job in Waterloo. The City of Jesup paid to send Jeff Tyler to the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy, and city leaders wanted Tyler to repay the 31-hundred dollars in tuition money. Tyler has agreed to pay about half of it, keeping the case out of court.
