Fire investigators in Davenport are trying to find out what caused a fire that killed three people this morning. The fire broke out around two-thirty this morning in a two-story wood home on Davenport’s southwest side. Davenport fire chief Tom Ryan says one adult and one child got out safely, but three other adults in the house died. Ryan says intense heat and smoke kept them from getting to the victims before the fire was out. The names of the victims have not been released.
