Drake used a 9-0 run in the final two and a half minutes to come from behind and edge Illinois-Chicago 64-60 in the Knapp Center. Senior center Aaron Deeter continued his hot hand as he poured in a career high 23-points on nine of 14 shooting. Deeter says Illinois-Chicago gave them all they wanted.Drake coach Kurt Kanaskie says his team stepped it up at crunch time and played hard and executed. Kanaskie says the team was stagnant until late in the ballgame. Drake won despite being outrebounded 43-25.It marks the first time since 1979 that Drake has gone unbeaten at home in non-conference play.
