Bulldogs pull out victory

Matt Woodley hit a three pointer with a minute-15 remaining to give Drake a 56-54 lead then sealed it with two free throws with one second remaining as the Bulldogs edged Northern Iowa 58-54 in Des Moines on Sunday. Woodley says the game was as hard fought as he expected.Woodley says a key point in the game was when U-N-I’s Aaron Middendorf fouled out late in the contest. It also marked Drake’s second come from behind win at home in six days.Drake improved to 8-4 and Woodley says a tough stretch is coming up in which the Bulldogs play four of their next five games on the road.
