Warner comes up big again for Rams

January 17, 2000 By admin

In a season full of big games, former UNI and Iowa Barnstormer quarterback Kurt Warner had his biggest yet on Sunday. Warner set team playoff record with 391-yards of passing and five touchdowns as the St.Louis Rams downed the Minnesota Vikings 49-37 in an NFC divisional playoff game. Warner completed 27 of 33 passes as the Rams broke away to a 49-17 second half lead. For the game, five different Rams caught touchdown passes. The Rams are a victory away from a berth in the super bowl and will host Tampa Bay next Sunday in the NFC title game.
