UNI’s play in loss upsets coach

February 10, 2000 By admin

The close losses continued for Northern Iowa Wednesday as they fell to Missouri Valley conference leader Indiana State 67-61 in Cedar Falls. Panther Coach Sam Weaver gave credit to the Sycamores. The Panthers didn’t play very good defense and Weaver was at a loss to explain why. He says his team needs more effort and better rebounding. A frustrated Weaver says his team may be a little tired, but he says they still have to give a good effort.Robbie Sieverding led the Panthers with 26 points. UNI drops to 12-10 overall and 5-6 in the Missouri Valley Conference.
