UNI wins big game on the road

The UNI women got their first win ever at Illinois State last night, downing the Redbirds 73-53. The Panthers had four players in double figures led by Barb Bennett of Ames with 18. Coach Tony Dicecco was pleased with the effort, and said everyone contributed in a positive way. Allison Star had her fourth “double-double” in five games with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Jill Seidl had a career high 10 points, which pleased her coach.Nikki Spettle also had 10 points. The Panthers are now 10-9 on the year and 6-5 in the Valley.
