Federal investigators say pilot error played a role in last year’s Colorado plane crash that killed a central Iowa dentist and his family. Dr. Rick Miller, of Perry, his wife and son died in the crash in the mountains — which took weeks to locate. The NTSB says Miller was not trained to fly in the poor weather conditions which included heavy cloud cover, ice and snow.
