Escaped prisoner caught in northwest Iowa

An inmate is back in custody in northwest Iowa’s Lyon County. 24-year-old Matthew Gibson of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, is accused of attacking and kidnapping a woman while on the run.Authorities say Gibson hurt himself when climbing the fence at the Rock Rapids, Iowa, jail on Tuesday. He allegedly raped a woman in a home where he fled. He is also accused of kidnapping the woman & forcing her to drive him away in her car. She jumped out of the car near a gas station to get help.
