I-Cubs ready to take you out to the ballgame

The Iowa Cubs open the Pacific coast league season at Sec Taylor Stadium this afternoon against the Memphis Redbirds. Dave Trembley begins his first season as manager after spending the past three season directing the Chicago Cubs double-a affiliate and he likes the mix of veterans and prospects on the Iowa Cubs roster.Trembley says it is possible to develop players and win. He says you develop players by winning games and getting them to buy into the system.Trembley will stress fundamentals and will use the starting pitching to shorten games. He says you don’t have guys that go nine innings.
