Iowa ready for spring football game

The Iowa football team closes out spring drills Saturday with an intrasquad game. Second-year coach Kirk Ferentz feels the Hawks have made significant progress in workouts.The biggest player move of the spring involved Aaron Kampman, who moved from middle linebacker to defensive end.Quarterback Scott Mullen has not practiced this spring because of a shoulder injury, but Ferentz expects him to be ready for next season.Ferentz says the first team will battle the second unit in Saturday’s game.
