An Internet magazine lists three Iowa institutions among its top 100 list of “most wired” colleges and universities. Yahoo’s “Internet Life” magazine ranked Iowa State University 20th, Wartburg College in Waverly is ranked 47th and Grinnell College in Grinnell is ranked 50th. Magazine spokesman Rob Bernstein says this is the fourth annual wired list.Bernstein says there were several factors that gave Iowa State University its high ranking, such as web-based registration and computers provided in dorm rooms. He says Wartburg and Grinnell fared well when you look at the technology they provide students compared to their size. He says both have different needs than a large university, but meet the needs of their students.Bernstein says the technology provided by Wartburg and Grinnell College is good compared to other private colleges.The first place school in the survey was Williams College.
