Drake coach likes his recruiting class

Drake coach Kurt Kanaskie says his incoming recruiting class should give the Bulldogs more versatility next season. Drake signed three junior college transfers this spring. 6-2 guard Dontaie Smith from St. Catharine of Kentucky, 6-7 forward Alberto Jempierre from Daytona Beach and 6-10 center Mike O’Neill from New Mexico Military Academy. Last fall, Drake signed 6-4 guard Luke McDonald out of the high school ranks in Fort Worth, Texas.Drake will also gain the services of 6-7 forward Andry Sola, who sat out last season after transferring from George Washington.Kanaskie says the incoming class should help their depth.Drake also landed former Des Moines Hoover standout David Newman who transferred from Northwestern.
