An eastern Iowa elementary school is back in business after a natural gas scare. The two-hundred-20 students in Welton, Iowa’s elementary school were evacuated yesterday morning after a construction crew struck a natural gas line a few blocks from the school. Officials were concerned a spark could cause a blast. Welton is about seven miles north of DeWitt, in the center of Clinton County.
