Soccer star will kick off Iowa Games

A member of the U-S women’s soccer team will take part in the opening ceremonies for the Iowa Games next week. Tiffany Roberts, a midfielder on last year’s World Cup Soccer championship team, will be the featured speaker at opening ceremonies.Iowa Games executive director Jim Hallihan, says it’s appropriate to have a member of a team that had such an impact last year.Hallihan says prior to opening ceremonies, Roberts will sign autographs in the parking lot across from Jack Trice stadium.The opening ceremonies are July 14th.
