Iowa State University Women’s basketball coach Bill Fennelly says he’s pleased the school will host an NCAA Regional in 2003. Fennelly says it shows how far the program has come.He says hosting a regional will put the state in the spotlight as only four schools get to host.Fennelly spoke to Radio Iowa from the road, where he’s recruiting. He says he’ll be on the road 22 days in July.Fennelly’s happy with the way the recruiting process is going.Fenelly took over the Iowa State program in 1995 and turned it from a perennial loser into a national contender.
