Linn County law officers smoke out pot growing operation

Linn County investigators uncovered a large quantity of marijuana in a raid last night, including several growing plants and packages of pot. Undercover agents have been working for months to shut down the operation at a home in the eastern Iowa town of Covington.Linn County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Rick Haendler says it’s hard to determine the street value of the drugs.Three people were arrested: 45-year-old Kevin Grommon, 40-year-old Jamie Grommon and 19-year-old Larry Wolfe Junior.
