The Iowa Secretary of State’s Office is going “24-7”. In an effort to be available to new business owners and entrepreneurs at any time of the day on any day of the week, the office has launched an online business center.Secretary of State Chet Culver says the website moves his office toward a seamless, paperless operation which aims to be always accessible. Culver says the site enables visitors to see and learn about all of the different ways to classify a business.Culver says the website tries to make it easy for new businesses to be born and thrive in the state. He says the usually-complex maze of forms to fill out and rules new businesses need to follow are all made very clear on the site. There’s a guide to Iowa’s most commonly used business organizations and a place to search for state and federal regulations. The website is located at: “www.sos.state.ia.us”.
