Ames software company is sold

September 6, 2000 By admin

An Ames software company that recently experienced a drop in its stock price is being sold. Engineering Animation Incorporated is being sold to a St. Louis, Missouri company. Unigraphics is purchasing E-A-I for an estimated 205-million dollars. A news release on the sale from Unigraphics says the company plans to maintain the independent nature of E-A-I’s products, while continuing to work together with the company. Unigraphics says the purchase of E-A-I will allow the company to significantly expand its market for specialized software and services. The purchase must be approved by E-A-I’s stockholders.
