Iowa Coach Steve Alford is hoping his team got the message in their first home loss of the season to Michigan Saturday. Alford says the team wasn’t ready to play the Wolverines in the first half. He says although he wasn’t satisfied with the team’s performance, he hopes they will bounce back. The loss to Michigan came on the heels of the team’s first conference loss of the year at Wisconsin the game before. Alford hopes the home loss shows his team they have to be prepared to play every game. Iowa is now 14-4 and fell one spot to 17th on the latest USA Today/ESPN/coaches top 25. They visit Minnesota on Wednesday
