OSU plane crash raises concerns in the Big Twelve

January 29, 2001 By admin

The plane crash which killed two members of the Oklahoma State basketball team was the dominant topic this morning on the Big-12 coaches’ teleconference. Iowa State coach Larry Eustachy has made it known for some time that he is not found of air travel. When possible, Eustachy likes to make a trip by car when the destination is close enough. He says he’ll continue to fly when he has to, such as long trips and recruiting trips where he needs to be back quickly. Eustachy says the Cyclones fly both commercial and charter jets throughout a season.
