Oskaloosa man charged in beating

An Oskaloosa man who lives in a facility for the mentally retarded and physically disabled is accused of beating someone with a pipe last night. Eighteen-year-old Kristin Richard Morgan is accused of beating another resident at Country Life Health Care Center in Oskaloosa. The weapon: a two-foot-long steel pipe. The victim had injuries to his chest, arms and back, but was treated and released at a local hospital. Morgan’s being held on a 75-hundred dollar bond. He faces a preliminary hearing March 1st.
