Law would crack down on "sexual deviants"

March 7, 2001 By admin

Iowa legislators are updating Iowa law to crack down on “sexual deviants” who prey on kids, via the Internet. Representative George Eichhorn of Stratford says porn that “morphs” a child’s electronic image into a sexually explicit picture will be clearly illegal if the bill becomes law.Eichhorn says the bill also increases the penalty for trying to entice a minor under the age of 13 to a commit a sex act.The bill also cracks down on out-of-state pedophiles who go into computer chat rooms and lure Iowa children into deviant behavior. The bill’s expected to pass the Senate, too. It was requested by the Attorney General.
