A Hampton man is dead after a grain elevator accident in north-central Iowa. Franklin County officials were called to the Farm Service Elevator in Chapin Thursday afternoon. The victim was trapped inside a bin and was covered with grain. The man was an employee of the elevator and died at the scene. His name has not yet been released.
