Man sues City of Davenport over accident with patrol car

April 3, 2001 By admin

A Davenport man is suing the city for two million dollars after a crash in which he admitted being drunk. Kent Cesler was pulling into an intersection on Christmas Eve of 1997 when his car was struck by a Davenport police car involved in a chase. Cesler says he’s racked up 132-thousand dollars in medical bills and wants the city to pay. The city has filed a counter-suit to recover damages to the patrol car.
