The program is nearing its end but there has been no quit on the Iowa State baseball team this season. The Cyclones take a four-game winning streak into tonight’s start of a Big-12 series at Missouri. Iowa State coach Lyle Smith says diversity tends to bring out different qualities in everyone. He says it shows the character on the ballclub. Smith says it speaks very highly of the team players and the coaching staff. He says they want to finish the season in the best way possible. The Cyclones still have a shot at qualifying for the Big-12 tournament and Smith says this will be a critical weekend.
