Student in trouble for Internet threat

May 8, 2001 By admin

A western Iowa high school student is in trouble over threatening comments allegedly made over the Internet.A 15-year-old freshman boy at Logan-Magnolia High School was taken into custody after he allegedly threatened, in an Internet chat room, that he was going to take a gun to school and shoot somebody. The Harrison County Sheriff’s Department evacuated the school in Logan at 10:45 a-m and searched the unidentified student’s locker. The Sheriff says the student was later brought in by a family member and confessed to the threat. He’s been charged with harrassment. Logan-Magnolia classes will be held tomorrow.
