Ceremonies across the nation are honoring fallen law officers today during National Law Enforcement Memorial Day. Law officers from Webster City, Hamilton County and the Iowa State Patrol participated in a ceremony today at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Webster City. Father John Flaherty says the day is designed to remember all those who died in the line of duty trying to keep us safe.There was a similar ceremony in Des Moines today and other ceremonies are set across the state to remember fallen law officers.
