TV show basis of exhibit at Des Moines Science Center

May 26, 2001 By admin

Iowa kids who enjoy learning about science through “Beakman’s World” on T-V can now experience the lessons of the wild program in real life. The Science Center of Iowa is -today- opening an interactive exhibit based entirely on the syndicated science show.Science Center spokeswoman Kay Hyde says the “Beakman’s World On Tour” exhibit includes a variety of hands-on displays that take people to far-away galaxies, inside their own bodies and even back in time.Hyde says people who attend the exhibit can search for space aliens, name their own bugs and even burp as loud as they can — all in the name of science. The exhibit will be at the Science Center of Iowa in Des Moines through September 9th.
